About Hector Monroy
Hector Monroy ''Monrock''. Mexican master of pop art style, born in 1953 in Queretaro, Mexico. Studied advertising as well as artistic drawing in the late 70s, and began working in the audiovisual communications industry as a graphic designer. At the age of seventeen made his first drawing in pop art of The Beatles. "My inspiration is drawn from rock music and art; I pay tribute to the most notable icons of music and Hollywood golden years". With more than 40 years working in art business, his art portraits of Icons, Myths and Legends of Rock Music and Film, achieve to capture all the detail and personality of those nostalgic wonderful decades of the 50's, 60's and 70`s like: Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors, James Dean, Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Bettie Page, Madonna, Muhammad Ali and more.
